Prospect Park, 10/1/2020

A juvenile hawk. Maybe a Cooper’s hawk? But the mottling on the chest doesn’t quite look like in Sibley’s. In any case, he scared all the other birds on Lookout Hill away.

Afternoon:

Three shots of a ridiculously handsome blackpoll warbler, a squirrel adding funds to his IRA, two shots of a fluffy bonbon Nashville warbler, a conversation between two blue jays, and two shots of a common yellowthroat posing as America’s sweetheart.
