If you live in or around San Francisco, you’ll soon have a chance to see Rebecca Baron’s 2005 documentary about the Mass-Observation movement, How Little We Know of Our Neighbours, which I mentioned in an earlier post. It’s playing on Friday, Sept. 22, at Artists’ Television Access, 992 Valencia St. (at 21st) as part of the Madcat Women’s International Film Festival.
Meanwhile, a blogger named Didactique has posted photographs of the Crystal Palace in flames and of Edward the Abdicator. And Drunken Volcano has condensed my Mass-Observation article, and all the other articles in the Sept. 11 issue, into a haiku. He seems to perform this poetic function every week; does Emily Gordon know?
