This common yellowthroat—two shots of one bird, even though it looks demure above and jaunty below—is profiting from a dumped-out heap of scooped-from-the-water algae.
I think this is a downy woodpecker mostly because it was not very large. I was only a few feet away and it was completely oblivious to me.
